Calling All Mk2 Dubfreaks This is my lovely 1985 mk2 golf havent had her very long but to cut the story short the engine is dead big ends I have been told so basically it needs a new engine. I intended to put a Vr6 or 1.8t in it but Ive had to stick that idea as my new car needs my attention. Shes a 1985 k-jet 8v gti small bumper model no power steering. The old model is cheaper to insure and it would make one hell of a sleeper on a B-reg if somebody had the time for it. Shes definatly far from mint being 25 years old she has a good few dings and scratches quite a big dent in the roof aswell and a rust hole around the fuel cap. Other than that the shell is going strong paintwork is surprisingly still red (not pink like my last one) I am breaking her for parts because i need money and we miss being able to park on our drive way. Sadly whatever is left of her is going to the scrappy for £150 next sunday. The car has survived for this long and I would much rather somebody breathed new life into her rather than becoming scrap. So if somebody offers me £150 shes yours (not the wheels tho Ive left the tax on incase somebody wants to tow her away. The shell would make a great start to a project. Now. as for parts. I have already sold the alternator front grill headlights side gti badges the dash has been taken out but its still about. Cant think of anything else so give me a shout if u want to come down and check her out for bits. bare in mind this cars age dont expect shiny new parts make me an offer on any part and Ill probly say yes They alloys (which are in a horrible state) i would like to hold on to but Ill let them go for £100 and Yes i know how much they are worth refurbed so dont waste your time making offers on those. still have centre caps which are hard to come by The tyres are flat so if somebody wants to tow her you might want to bring a set of steelies (sorry about that) Thats pretty much it Remember I am breaking this car so if your looking for the shell i suggest you take it b4 people start taking the essentials off My deadline is Sunday so grab a bargain while you can.
